Meaning of LED wall:
Led walls are big screens made up of light emitting diodes to display video and any other visual content as if they were computer monitors. As the word says in English, the feeling it gives when looking at is that of a massive luminous wall, without any junction between the modules and cabinets that compose it, thus allowing you to cover with videos, digitize any space in continuity. In the narrow meaning of the term, the word “led wall” is normally used in scenography and (television, virtual, production) studios or wherever the screen is shot by professional cameras. But now the name has been extended to all applications, like for led displays or led screens not only for indoors but also for outdoors, for example for digital billboards.
Main characteristics of Led Walls:
The fundamental technical feature to know about led video walls is the “pixel pitch” i. e. the distance between adjacent pixels, each of them consisting of 3 LEDs, red, green and blue (RGB). The closer the pixels are, i.e. the narrower the pixel pitch, the more definition you will get with the product. With the technological evolution of recent years, in particular the miniaturization of electronic components, pixel pitches can now be less than one millimeter, therefore close to other video solutions such as LCD or OLED (which, however, can never reach the same size and they do not have the same duration and flexibility of use as LED displays).
Difference between SMD or DIP LED's
DIP technology uses cylindrical LEDs welded through the printed circuit boards ending in a hemispherical dome, a lens for maximizing light intensity. Each single LED can generate only one color and that is why three separate RGB LEDs (red, green and blue) are used in a triangle shape. This technology is still used for large outdoor installations. In SMD technology, three small diodes are still used (the usual red, green and blue RGB) but all of the three are placed inside a single square capsule and welded on top of the printed circuit board. With this “all in one” solution, a shorter distance between the individual pixels is guaranteed, with the greatest advantage of obtaining high resolutions, which means more defined pictures at a shorter viewing distance.
Visual resolution and definition of led walls
The definition of led walls is given by the distance between the diodes or pixels, or their pitch or spacing. The closer the pixels are, the higher the definition, the better you will be able to see the screen closely and the less it will be necessary to increase the screen size to gain quality. The most popular models of led screens are 2.5 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm for indoor and 4 mm, 6 mm and 10 mm for outdoor, but there are many other solutions available.
Pixel pitch of led walls
The distance expressed in mm between the individual LEDs is called pitch. This parameter is fundamental for the choice of a specific LED wall and its location, as it determines the graphic resolution and the distance from which the LED wall is clearly visible. To simplify, if you intend to install a large LED screen, of tens of square meters, on a roof of a building to convey standard advertising messages, a pitch of 10 mm or more can be just fine. If, on the other hand, you intend to install a LED screen of few square meters in an indoor space to display live or pre-recorded video, with up to 4K resolutions and beyond, then a very narrow pitch, between 4 and 2.5 mm, is recommended.

Remote management
The management software includes special features for the management of the advertising schedule on site via USB key or cable connection.
The programming of the advertising schedule can be customized and managed remotely with special software and cable or wireless connection.
Ledwall can also be monitored and set remotely by intervening on activities such as switching on and off, brightness, diagnostics.
